About Pro-Choice Minnesota
What does Pro-Choice Minnesota do?
We build collective power to remove barriers, strengthen protections, and expand access to abortion and reproductive healthcare across Minnesota. We do this through public education, volunteer programs, policy advocacy, and political action.
What's the difference between the Foundation and the 501(c)(4)?
Pro-Choice Minnesota Foundation (501(c)(3)) focuses on education, training, and organizing. Pro-Choice Minnesota (501(c)(4)) engages in advocacy, political organizing, and endorsements. Contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible; donations to the 501(c)(4) are not.
When was Pro-Choice Minnesota founded?
We were founded in 1966—making us Minnesota's oldest reproductive freedom advocacy organization.
Abortion Access in Minnesota
Is abortion legal in Minnesota?
Yes. Abortion is legal in Minnesota. There are no mandatory waiting periods, no parental notification requirements, and no required biased counseling scripts.
How late in pregnancy can I get an abortion in Minnesota?
Minnesota law allows abortion throughout pregnancy. Access may vary depending on gestational age, medical necessity, and provider availability.
How do I find a trusted clinic?
We recommend licensed, supportive providers. Visit our Find a Clinic page for a full list.

CPCs are unlicensed, anti-abortion centers that pose as medical clinics. They do not provide abortion services and may use false information to deter people from accessing care.
