Pro-Choice Lobby Day happens once a year and we look forward to seeing you on March 4th!

This year we will be pushing a comprehensive sexuality education bill all the way to the Governor's desk. With 1 in 4 teens contracting a STI and abstinence only education fueling an upswing in teen pregnancies we cannot stand by while 89% of Minnesota's parents demand their children get medically accurate information. There is $110 million pot of money now available through the Obama administration to help States fund sexual education programs, but you need programs to fund for these dollars to be effective. With the massive budget shortfall we'll have to rally Minnesota's Pro-Choice majority to defend any cuts to Family Planning.

Pro-Choice Lobby Day in brief:
When you arrive at the Capitol for Lobby Day we will be meeting in the Great Hall in the lower level of the Capitol. We will begin the day with a big Pro-Choice welcoming speech followed by a Legislative Update. From there we will move into our break-out sessions where we will give Lobby 101 presentations followed by a presentation with a Q&A section on Talking About Choice in the context of the community group you have chosen to attend. From there it will be off to our 1st round lobby visits then a quick lunch in the Great Hall. At 12:00 everyone will gather in the Capitol Rotunda for our Pro-Choice Rally in the Rotunda which will have various community voices and Pro-Choice Legislators! After the Rally the final lobby visits will begin and the day will end in the Great Hall with quick Thank You notes to our Legislators.
