Be a full-time or part-time pro-choice canvasser! Help us mobilize, educate and recruit pro-choice consitituents in Twin Cities metro communities. Staff start at $10/hour, plus performance bonuses, benefits, and annual raises. Paid training period included.

Campus Representative
NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota believes in the power of the student voice! We recognize the need to train new pro-choice leaders and we've developed a Student Organizing program that reflects that.

NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota's Student Organizing program hires interns and works with pro-choice students at fourteen colleges throughout the state to educate and activate students on campus.

NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota is currently looking for energetic and enthusiastic pro-choice people to fill Campus Representative internships at these colleges:

Bemidji State University
Hamline University
Macalester University
Minneapolis Community and Technical College
Rochester Community and Technical College

NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota will work with your college to get college credit for the internship.  These are paid internships.

An energetic personality and strong pro-choice stance are the only requirments.

Communications Intern
NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota is looking for a creative, upbeat, resolutely pro-choice student to fill the position of Communications Coordinator. The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota’s online organizing efforts such as updating of organization’s website, MySpace, and Facebook pages and blogs. Maintain organization’s website constantly so it is up-to-date and accurate.

This is an unpaid internship.

Outreach Materials Design Intern

Outreach Materials Design Intern

 

Position:  Outreach Materials Design Intern

Benefits:  NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota will work with your school to ensure academic credit.

 

Organization: NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota is the largest statewide grassroots organization dedicated solely to protecting the right to choose.  We work at the state and local level to ensure that Minnesota’s women have access to safe, legal, and affordable reproductive healthcare.  Internships with NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota are a fun way to boost your resume while gaining valuable experience with a non-profit advocacy organization. 

 

Summary: NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota is looking for a creative, upbeat, resolutely pro-choice student to fill the position of Outreach Materials Design Intern.  This person will be the moving force behind the creation of our next generation of outreach materials, from t-shirts and buttons to logos and stickers.

 

NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota prides itself on having flexibility with interns to develop an individualized plan that fits the needs and interests of the campus. Internship possibilities include:  issue-based research, educational campaigns, electoral education, and campus organizing.

 

Responsibilities typically include:

ü  Design new pro-choice themed t-shirts, buttons, stickers

ü  Help develop catchy slogans around all forms or reproductive rights/health

ü  Assist or host button making events at the NARAL office.

ü  Co-ordinate themes and designs with current projects or actions being focused on by NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota

                                                                                                                       

Qualifications:  This internship spans one academic semester and is performed at the NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota St. Paul office, and on your own computer.  A commitment to reproductive rights, strong communication and creativity are required.  Applicant will need to be familiar with Microsoft Publisher or have access to other design programs.  Interns must be able to work independently with regular (but distance) supervision and assistance.

Summer Outreach Coordinator

Position:  Summer Outreach Coordinator

Organization: NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota is the largest statewide grassroots organization dedicated solely to protecting the right to choose.  We work at the state and local level to ensure that Minnesota’s women have access to safe, legal, and affordable reproductive healthcare.  Internships with NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota are a fun way to boost your resume while gaining valuable experience with a non-profit advocacy organization. 

Summary: NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota is looking for a creative, upbeat, resolutely pro-choice student to fill the position of Summer Outreach Coordinator.  Outreach into the community is a key part of our electoral and legislative strategy and being visible through the state  during the summer is a fun simple way to talk to our friends and allies.

Responsibilities Include:

ü  Seeking out tabling opportunities at different events (concerts, festivals, etc.), with an emphasis on events in the suburbs and greater Minnesota

ü  Networking with communities of color to understand suitable outreach and messages.

ü  Recruitment and turnout of volunteers walking in parades and setting up a booth at festivals.

ü  Supplying volunteers with the information they need (training and logistics).

ü  Set-up and take-down of festival booth for about 6 summer festivals.

ü  Keeping a detailed record of volunteers, donations, and outreach supply inventory.

ü  Follow-up and thank volunteers after each of their shifts.

ü  Must be available during every Summer Outreach event. Some events include:

o    PrideFest in Minneapolis – June

o    PrideFest in Mankato – August

o    PrideFest in Rochester – July 

o    PrideFest in Duluth - September

ü  Must have own transportation and be able to lift heavy items.

Qualifications & Skills:  This internship spans the summer and is performed in the St. Paul office of NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota, and some time on your own computer.  A commitment to reproductive rights, strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.  Interns must be able to work independently with regular (but distance) supervision and assistance.  Experience working with campus (or community) -based groups and/or volunteers is required.  Flexibility and the ability to quickly respond to new developments is required. Festival dates are required.
