Help stop anti-choice bill in Senate
The bill was passed 61-38 by the U.S. Senate on March 25, 2004. Both Minnesota Senators, Mark Dayton and Norm Coleman, voted in favor of this anti-choice measure. President Bush signed it into law on April 1, 2004. Thank you to all who contacted lawmakers about this bill. Please contact Senators Dayton and Coleman and let them know what you think of their vote. Anti-choice Senate leader Bill Frist is determined to score political points with the right-wing’s conservative base by pushing for a Senate vote on the deceptive “Unborn Victims of Violence Act” before Congress recesses. It should come as no surprise that anti-choice lawmakers support the so-called Unborn Victims of Violence Act, which is intended to threaten the legal basis of the right to choose. Urge Senators Dayton and Coleman to today to vote against this dangerous and deceptive bill.
