Support Survivors of Sexual Assault!
Urge Minnesota lawmakers to support compassionate & responsible policies for survivors of sexual assault. What's the problem?
50% of Minnesota hospitals (secular and religious) do no provide easy access to Emergency Contraception (EC) to survivors of sexual assault according to studies conducted by the NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota Foundation. Wider availability of EC could cut the number of unintended pregnancies by 50%, reducing the need for abortion. What's being done to help? The pro-choice community has introduced the "Emergency Care for Sexual Assault Victims Act", that would make emergency contraception, also known as the "morning-after" pill, available to survivors of sexual assault in all of Minnesota's emergency rooms.CONTACT THE LEGISLATURE Call and email your representative and ask them to do the right thing for rape victims by supporting this bill.
