You can get involved in the political process by making your pro-choice voice heard in our state legislature. We especially need these volunteers in Greater Minnesota! Pro-choice letters to the editor of local papers are a great way to show support for pro-choice issues and to educate the general public about pro-choice positions. NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota needs volunteers who are willing to write these letters. NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota alerts you to when letters are particularly needed and gives you the relevant information to submit them to your local paper. Choice Action Teams
Pro-choice people outside the twin cities need to coalesce to defend against anti-choice attacks and promote a positive agenda! If you have an interest in becoming active at the local level, and want to make change within your community, join one of our Choice Action Teams. NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota staff work with team members to create their own plans and they typically send letters, e-mails, place calls, and organize events to promote awareness about the threat to reproductive rights in our state. Clinic Escorting Team
Every Saturday morning a dedicated group of NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota volunteers serve as clinic escorts at a Minneapolis abortion clinic. Escort volunteers ensure that patients endure minimal harrasment from protesters and are a friendly presence on an otherwise difficult day.
