Canvasser of the Month
CANVASSER OF THE MONTH- Meghan Hein At the beginning of the summer, I would have hesitated to call myself an activist. Today, as a NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota Canvasser, I declare that title proudly. I joined the canvass team a week after graduating from St. Olaf College, resolved that my first steps down a career path would be in the direction of progressive action. In the past five months, I have grown immensely through a job that allows me to connect with wonderful and inspiring people night after night, door after door. To every person who has given me and my coworkers their time, their support, a glass of water, an inspiring story, and even a hug: Thank you. Your kindness and support keeps us strong and joyful, through the rain, the heat, the cold, the apathy and the ignorance. Together we are Pro-Choice Minnesota and we will create the positive change we need in the world. |
