NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota's Grassroots Organizing Machine Our field canvass knocks on doors all over the state- from farming communities to the heart of the Twin Cities- organizing, mobilizing and education community members about all issues relating to reproductive health rights. Whether giving a donation, writing a letter or calling an elected official, each action bring us closer to an organized pro-choice majority in Minnesota. Today, as a NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota Canvasser, I declare that title proudly. I joined the canvass team a week after graduating from St. Olaf College, resolved that my first steps down a career path would be in the direction of progressive action. In the past five months, I have grown immensely through a job that allows me to connect with wonderful and inspiring people night after night, door after door. To every person who has given me and my coworkers their time, their support, a glass of water, an inspiring story, and even a hug: Thank you. Your kindness and support keeps us strong and joyful, through the rain, the heat, the cold, the apathy and the ignorance. Together we are Pro-Choice Minnesota and we will create the positive change we need in the world. |
