Gov. Pawlenty appoints fourth Supreme Court Justice
Here is NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota, Executive Director Linnea House's, response to the appointment of Eric Magnuson as chief justice to the Minnesota Supreme Court: We are concerned about Governor Tim Pawlenty’s appointment of Eric Magnuson as chief justice. Magnuson’s work on anti-choice appeals in the past clearly demonstrates that he supports policies that undermine women’s right to freedom and privacy in Minnesota. Through this appointment, Governor Pawlenty shows again that he is out of step with the majority of Minnesotans. This is why elections matter; Governor Pawlenty has now named four justices to the Minnesota Supreme Court.
