St. Paul, Minn--The Legislature recently passed a bill that would give $5 million in taxpayer funds to so-called "crisis pregnancy centers" that resort to lies and intimidation to do their work. Statement by Tim Stanley, executive director of NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota, on the passage of the so-called "Positive Alternatives Act." "Instead of using the public purse to advance women's health, our esteemed governor has regrettably decided to advance anti-woman, anti-birth control idealogy with a handout to the MCCL.
